Thoughts about the Class

Our presentation was fun to do, I did not know I could honestly find so much information about it. Although I don't know that we can teach it efficiently in 15 minutes as memorization would take longer than that. But I think that if it were a lesson plan for an actual class the students would really enjoy the presentation and the hands on participation. I am pretty satisfied with the out come with our project.


The class covered a lot of basics that I had already known and getting online has always been hard for me to remember. However the class was extremely educational in the way it taught us how to integrate technology within the classroom in so many different ways. I love that I know how to add videos to my powerpoints that was a really great to know. I feel that because of this class I will be more open to use technology my classroom in the future whenever I get the chance. I believe that technology in the classroom should be used in moderation. It can be more beneficial when used correctly and students are more likely to react to it. It is a must if you are trying to give the students all the information you can, just as long as it doesn't become a movie theater instead of a classroom.

voicethread

I think that the voice thread could be particularly useful in a classroom setting especially ones that are web enhanced. Given the opportunity to speak over a subject covered in class that a student wasn't able to discuss will help you get a better understanding of what your students are thinking. I would probably want my students to use this if there was access to computers in my classroom, or even just to convey information that I could not cover in class. However I find that online assignments are often a hassle to access for many students. It would depend entirely on the class that I was teaching.
